Day one (and the outfit that saved my trip)

When we left Michigan, it wasn’t nearly as warm as it would be when we arrived in Jamaica. So I opted for layers, which would turn out to save me later in the week (and I will explain later this week).

Getting to Jamaica was hilarious, because our plane from Detroit to Atlanta was delayed because they needed to “top off” the fuel. We arrived in Atlanta with 30 minutes to make our connecting flight, which was across the airport (we had to go from terminal E to A). My sister was at our gate (she came in from Illinois) and all I could do was text her, making sure the plane wasn’t leaving and begging her to hold the plane, if needed.

Joe an I took off, rushing to get to our new terminal with my mom and my brother’s mom following behind. It was a mad dash, but we made it, and my sister had even bought Chik Fil A for all of us (thankfully!), so we had a chance to eat lunch.

  1. That guy in the background is hilarious…so typically Jamaican!
Love the shorts with the wedges and miles of pale legs. And damn, that widow’s peak is hot!

  2. Haha I love the randomness of these photos! Particularly that last one where you are out of focus 🙂

Can’t wait to see more from the trip!
