The 12-year-old in me LOVES these jeans.

Shop my outfit: earrings, jeans, jacket, similar necklace, cardigan

I swear I use to own these jeans when I was 12. I wore them all the time, wearing out the hems and wearing holes in the knees. I’m pretty sure I cried when my mom made me throw them away. I swore I’d never own another pair like them, because I was too heartbroken over losing my favorites. I didn’t want to risk falling in love with another pair of jeans, only to have them thrown away on me again.
Then the Gap pulled me in with their 30% off sale, and I bought my middle-school jeans again. Although, thankfully, I don’t still feel like that awkward 12-year-old anymore. At least not most of the time.

The long-overdue winner of the Anika Burke hair feather is Sarah from And She Loved. Congrats! Email me to claim your prize!

PS- my shoes, which you can’t see, are from Forever 21, and the purse was won at TxSCC from Modcloth.

  1. With the warm weather back, it’s dress and skirt season here now. I wore a dress yesterday, but I missed my jeans.

I really like the way you labeled your outfit here! Like A LOT.

    • Thanks! This is the way I’m going to do it from now on, because it is different than everyone else, and it seemed to be the favorite among most commenters yesterday! πŸ™‚

  2. L-O-V-E the jeans! Don’t think they look like juniors at all, you look fantastic!

One small suggestion, for your colour swatch labels, think you just need a slightly heavier font as the letter forms are very thin and fade into the colour… I’ll send you some unsolicitated font suggestions …

    • The only problem with changing fonts is this is the font I used for all my buttons, side bar labels and header. And I’m not a huge fan of multiple fonts everywhere. I have a few other tricks up my sleeve to make sure the letters show up, but I don’t know if I’m comfortable redoing everything (I searched FOREVER for this font). But I really appreciate your help! πŸ™‚

      • I totally agree, but I KNOW I’ve seen a similar font in a slightly thicker weight! Great job, btw! You made me a new fan!!

        • LOL! Thanks! The font I’m using is called Bellerose. If you find the one you’re thinking of that’s similar, send over the link! πŸ™‚

  3. I’ve been thinking about that, too! I wore those jeans in middle school…Generation X brand from Younker’s. No, I’m not afraid to love them again either.

And. I love how you labeled your clothes today.

  4. I like this detail you did it works great to see where things are from because a list sometimes is harder to digest. I LOVE your cambridge satchel! I just got mine in the mail yesterday and am using it for the first time today and I keep looking over at it on the chair and smiling.

and this 32 year old in me loves those jeans too

    • The only thing that makes me sad about the bag is that it’s really tiny inside! I can’t fit my camera in it, which makes me sad :\

  5. LOVE this top!!! The jeans are totally great too! I like how you labeled this picture – I may need to start doing that as well…. lots of great ideas, imitation is flattery – right?

  6. The new labels are great — I think you’ve struck upon something that is not only elegant and streamlined, but is also really unique to your vibe, which is the whole point, right?
p.s. I just ant to live in those pants…

  7. You look great! I love the new labeling system.

I *just* got these jeans in the mail yesterday. Gap and their “give and get” gets me every time!

Once I tried them on, I realized I had almost and exact pair from Contempo Casuals back in the day. If only I had saved all my old jeans!

  8. I love the jeans! I found 2 pairs of jeans (very similar in style and color) at Old Navy in the sale section and I couldn’t pass them up. I haven’t worn wide-legged jeans since I was 13! Isn’t it nice when we can take a step back πŸ™‚

  9. I wear jeans always too since they’re so comfy! πŸ™‚ I think I have like over 10 pairs of jeans? T~T

I love your necklace! πŸ™‚ And oh, you bag matches with your hair color. ^^

  10. I think those jeans look classy and comfy! You’re 12 year old self knew her stuff! I like the new photo clothes tagging system a lot!

  11. Uh oh, I think I need to go buy those jeans! Gap, you say? They are perfect! And I love the sophisticated way you’ve styled them too, so chic!

    • Yes! Just bought them online a week or so ago. I linked the pair under the photos (no affiliate links here!), if you want the exact pair I bought.

  12. Ugh, aren’t wide legs the best!! I am wearing some today. I love ’em! This outfit is right up my alley! I like how you wore hearts (girlie) and added the leather jacket and chain necklace for some edge! I love balancing girlie and edgy. Goo look! πŸ™‚

  13. I can see why you love those jeans! I’m such a big fan of those type of jeans and I used to work them too back in high school. Wore those babies out!

I’m also loving the way you label your clothes in the outfit pics! πŸ™‚

  14. i love this whole look Suze, esp the top with the heart print. You hair looks great with the purple cardigan too, it really makes it pop.

  15. I have that top!! I love it. You look so cute. I Love the wide leg jeans. I need to dig some out of my closet. Definitely feeling the wide leg jeans.

  16. This is outfit is super cute, and I love the way your are labeling your posts now. It’s really clever and not distracting from the image at all.

  17. I love the color blocking label system you setup. It’s so much easier to read than the other versions and it works great.

  18. I like those jeans, but would be afraid to trip since I’m kind of short. That bag is fabulous!

btw, I really like the color blocks/outfit details on the side.
